Is it possible that I use this website for promoting other companies?
Hi Eric
The idea is to sign up with the various companies that offer affiliate programs as listed in the article. Their banners will go on your website in exchange for a commission payout.
If you need us to setup a blog or website for you, get in touch via the contact form.
Thank you
Has your business made any money with affiliate marketing?
Hi Sbo
Yes, we have made money from affiliate marketing through this very website. We have a few ads running on the site right now – our focus is not on affiliate marketing – we offer web/blog design services. However, it does work.
Affiliate marketing works and it’s not that difficult, just keep at it.
Do you know If GainRock is legit? There are zero reviews on this site.
Hi Kellan
GainRock essentially gets you to sign up with affiliate networks like Magenet, which in turn earns them a commission. You are welcome to sign up through their portal, or simply sign up directly with the affiliate networks.
New affiliate programs and networks are added all the time. The list we provide is not exhaustive but serves as a starting point. Always read the T&Cs and ensure that South Africans are allowed to participate.
Hi!

What are the T’s and C’s, when it comes to affiliate marketing?
Hi Anonymous
Every affiliate portal will have its own unique set of rules apart from the standard stuff. Check it before you sign up.
The two important things to keep in mind:
– Can South Africans join
– Do not abuse or change any of the ads you place on your blog/website/newsletter
Dumb question. I see the web design logo up top. Do you guys provide a platform for newbe bloggers that is Easy to operate?
Hi Christopher
We can setup a WordPress blog for you, with all the pages, etc. You will only have to write blog articles. We also provide a custom step-by-step user guide to get you going.
Good day
When signing up with Clickbank, there is only the cheque option for South Africa or I believe the wire transfer which costs $35 per transfer, but that is a very expensive fee.
Any other options available?
Hi Paul
My advice is to wait until you have earned enough money, e.g. $500, before you do a wire transfer. It is an international money transfer from the USA to SA, therefore costs will apply.
Hi im new to this i would like to know do the ads your place on your blog, website, newsletter pay for the advertising or only when a sale is made.further what are you liable for in such a transaction eg,poor quality goods.
Thanks.
Hi Anwar
You are providing free advertising to the brands on your blog/website/newsletter. However, when a reader proceeds to click on the link you provided it may (a) pay you for the click, (b) pay you if the reader registers an account, (c) purchases a product from the affiliate, (d) some other requirement.
Having said that, blogs/newsletters/websites that are very popular often receive payment just for having an advertisement on display. Companies literally just want people to see their brand linked to you.
Affiliate marketing is only as successful as the amount of effort you put into it.
To answer your second question – you will not be held liable for the sale/product/service delivered.
Hi, I would like to learn more about this venture. With the current COVID19 situation one need to look at other avenues of making income. I need to know what is the initial investment that one need to invest before seeing any yields from this type of making money.
Hi Solly
Yes, as a people we have to look at alternative ways to generate money going forward. However, affiliate marketing will not replace your salary.
To get a better idea of the investment required, please refer to the second article on affiliate marketing here: https://www.hetjou.co.za/getting-started-affiliate-marketing-2/
Greetings I’d like to know about the tax issues do we get taxed for affiliate marketing in south africa and how do they do it?
Hi Thando
You would need to earn quite a bit before SARS will take note, so no need to worry about it when you start out. As far as I know, you would declare the income via your business or in a personal capacity, but as stated, you would have to earn thousands every month for this to affect you.
Good day, I’d like to know what’s the best option to get paid as an affiliate marketer in SA, so far it seems you need to have a Payoneer account…?! But my concern is, will I receive my Payoneer card during this Covid-19 pandemic…?! Do I even need to have a Payoneer card in order to receive payments? Or what do you suggest I should do?
Hi DaarIsHoop
Most affiliate companies will pay the funds directly into your South African bank account. There are exchange rate fees involved, but a direct payment is the easiest way.
This is an interesting article. Affiliate marketing certainly is not as well established as it is in other parts of the world such as North America or Europe. But at the same time, this can be a big opportunity for savvy entrepreneurs in Africa. One of the great advantages of affiliate marketing is that it can be started for a very small investment, while you can make very decent money through it.
Good Day i have tried signing up with click bank but once i save my info it then tells me that my account is disabled why is that ?
Hi Michael
You might have to activate your account first. Check your inbox for any account confirmation email from Clickbank, also check your junk/spam folder.

Hi Neels, you can advertise on Facebook, but there is a daily fee involved if you want to reach a larger group of people.
